I updated my footer code with an address and then the same text was duplicated into the header but now I cannot remove the text from the header and it is disrupting the menu. the site is http://comfyfrog.com if anybody has any solutions it would be much appreciated.

According the definition spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it.
Yes, that is somehow advertisement, but Magento products could be shown on a non-Magento page using GoMage Feed Pro extension. And that is direct answer for the question. Hundreds of our clients use it perfectly to suit the same ends.
