Adding Customer Order Comments to Magento checkout

Hi,

I’m having issues getting it working. I’ve followed all the instructions and added logging as per this topic magentocommerce.com/boards/viewthread/10268/P60/ but I’m getting nothing in my system.log or exception.log for the observer.php.

When I add the relevant code to agreements.phtml, my checkout page wont progress pass ‘payment methods’ when I press the continue button, so its not allowing the agreements.phtml to be displayed at ‘order review’.

Can anyone help please.
