Allowed memory size or Error parsing body

1. i downloaded magento-1.4.0.1.zip on my host

2. unzip

3. in browser type myhost.ru/magento

4. Fatal error: Allowed memory size of …

4a. i added ini_set(”memory_limit”,”128M”); to the index.php

5. page Configuration if i press Continue without any checkes at the Web access options

it’ll be error

Url ”http://myhost.ru/magento/” is not accessible

Error parsing body – doesn’t seem to be a chunked message

if i checked Skip Base URL validation before next step it’ll error

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 262144 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 7680 bytes) in /pathtomagento/magento/errors/processor.php on line 438

Can anyone help me?
