Cache Management

Any ideas why I keep getting this message when I add a related or upsell or cross sell product
One or more of the Cache Types are invalidated: Blocks HTML output. Click here to go to Cache Management and refresh cache types.
I keep having to go in to refresh the cache to check that the products have been added correctly, and it is taking an age !!
