Dreaded Internal Server Newbie Post…

Hi Hope you can help.

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, webmaster at fojah dot co dot uk and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I’m using Magento for the first time.

I’ve uploaded the files to my server and changed all the permissions to 777 apart from the index which is 755 I tried to run the standard http://www.domain.co.uk/magento

Nothing worked – Just for the record, at this point should I have set-up the MySQL database in any particular way?

So then I try to use the clean-up tool and get the exact same error

I’m at the point of giving up after such good recommendations it would be a shame
