Exporting multiple site issue

I’ve got 3 sites, call them siteA, siteB and siteC
each of those sites has a category called HATS
When I export the data, magento doesnt seem to know which HATS category belongs to which website.

Re-importing the data, magento always puts the product into the HATS category of siteA, even though on export, the product was in the HATS category of siteB, or siteC or both or all 3 !

Presumably the answer is “Dont duplicate category names” but if you’re running multiple websites this could happen surely !

Everything works fine as long as you dont export, then re-import the data.
Its only on exporting that magento just seems to spit the data out, without a clue whats come from where !
