Fatal Error and lost

I was adding new extensions and then when i went back to the admin part it sent me this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined method Mage_Adminhtml_NotificationController::_title() in /home3/thegforc/public_html/thefilmcabinet.com/magento/app/code/core/Mage/Adminhtml/controllers/NotificationController.php on line 39

I have tried to upgrade and got nothing!

i have no clue what to do and have been stuck on this issue for atleast 3 hours.

if anybody has encountered this problem any help would be better than where I am right now!
