Major problem with Categories

Hi,

I’ve been sort of “dropped into” using Magento for a client after he fell out with his previous web company so I’m a total noob.

I’ve figured out how to use the backend but there’s seems to be a major bug that’s preventing me from proceeding.

When I’m trying to manage categories it simply will not let me edit them. I can move them around easily enough but if I click on one (which I assume should bring up the details on the screen for editing) I get an error report in Firebug – parseSidUrl is not defined.

I’m desperate to get this working so I can get the site live and get the client off my back (because of this bug I’ve missed the go-live date for the site – which should’ve been today) and I would genuinely appreciate any and all help that could be given.
