Newbie cannot change theme
by ian (Posted Fri, 05 Nov 2010 10:00:15 GMT)
I have tried and tried and searched and searched but just can’t seem to find the answer.
I have downloaded a theme called greyscale, uploaded the files in the relevant file structure but can’t get Magento to change.
I go System > Config > Design and then change Current Package name from ‘default’ to ‘greyscale’
Magento then just gives me the error message
An error occurred while saving this configuration: package with this name does not exist and cannot be set.
and reverts to default. I have also tried changing to the pre-uploaded themes such as blue and modern but get the same error, chmod to 777 to make sure it wasn’t file permissions but no different.
Has anyone experienced this error who can help?
Thanks
Ian
