Charge at time of shipment and/or have multiple payments – MAGENTO

I’m looking for an extension or an easy way to have the card authorized and charged at the time of shipment AND if there are multiple shipments on an order it only charges for what is being shipped which if i understand correctly would mean i would need the ability to have multiple payments (because there could be multiple shipments). Any thoughts, suggestions are appreciated.

p.s. yes i know this will most likely mean credit card numbers will need to be stored and then purged … its not my grand idea i just get to do it.
