Get the Functionality You’d Expect From ‘Buy X, Get Y Free’
This module automatically adds admin-specified, free product(s) to the shopping cart, when qualifying conditions are met (ex: buy any jeans over $50 and get this free bag). Customers do not need to find and add the product to the cart.

Extends Existing Shopping Cart Price Rules Engine
This new promotions module extends Magento’s existing shopping cart price rules, with an additional ‘Add Free Product’ action.

Assign ANY Free Product
Admins select any product, across categories, and even specify multiple, different products to be added by a single action (not just ‘buy x, get x free’).

Limit the Number of Free Products per Transaction
Admins may control the number of free products available per purchase by setting the number available per transaction, or allow unlimited free products as long as conditions continue to be met.

Pricing Auto-Corrects with Changes
This module auto-corrects pricing for ‘free’ items if qualifying conditions are altered in the shopping cart (ex: removing the qualifying item before checkout).

Pre-Requisites
• Magento CE 1.4
• An unmodified Magento Core

Additional Notes: The concepts and many elements of this module were developed over 6 months working with zumiez.com (although they do not have a full Lightspeed implementation). Portions of this solution have also been live in production through the 2009 Holiday Season on 3 additional sites.
