The Copier extension was created to ease your life when you need to set a color

‘Red’ for dozens of products for example. It’s purpose – t create a multi-edit

feature for products.

Maybe it’s not perfect. Yes, I admit that, it’s only on early stage of development

and I really need your critics .

So, what can it do?

First of all, let’s try to copy something. Open an existing product for edit and –

voila – notice a new tab called “Copy default product attributes”. Open it and you

will see a list of parameters at the left and a list of products at the right.

Parameters grouped in categories, so check the “select” item under buttons “Copy”

and “Copy all” and open attribute group you need. Now you can write in input

fields. Type everything you want, it won’t affect current opened product. After

that check the fields you want to copy into other products, check some products in

grid and press “Copy”. Now it works =).

“Copy all” just copy every field, checked or not.

Now, you can mark some attributes to be checked for copying by default. It will be

useful if you copy parameter “Weight” often and you DON’T check it every time.

Let’s look at the main menu. Go to ain menu – Elgris Configs – Default attributes

to copy and check all attributes you need to be checked by default.

This extension doesn’t create any table in your Magento database. It uses single

record in core_config_data table to store default marks.

This extension works on 1.3.2.4 too, but you won’t see pretty dialog windows.
