Usually you need to authorize user to make personalized special offers and raise sales, but common user behavior is to authorize only on checkout step, because else it makes them do unnecessary clicks and load extra pages. Now this problem is solved with Login popup. This extension creates overlay with login form, not taking user away from the page he was currently browsing.
